Sunday Mornings: Bible Study

Discipleship is very important in every believer's spiritual growth and we want to see every believer enter the process of discipleship. We believe that the best places to grow are in smaller groups that meet on a weekly basis to walk through God’s Word and LIFE together. We hope that you will find your place to grow at Walnut Street...that you too might become a Spirit-filled believer, using your gifts and abilities for the edification of the church and the evangelization of the world.

Spring MidWeekLIFE Classes (March 1 - May 3, 2017)

  • The Grace Awakening

Led by Jim & Teresa Dunton

'The Grace Awakening' calls all Christians to wake up and reject living in such legalistic, performance-oriented bondage. It's clear that the challenges in the world are greater than ever, but the need for Christians who will live out their witness in freedom and compassion is even greater.

  • Encountering false religions

    Led by Jerry Parker

False religions are running rampant in the world today. Everywhere you turn, you are bombarded with messages of "acceptance" and "coexistence." After all, all religions really all go back to the same God, right? Wrong. As a Christian, we are called to love our neighbors, and not to judge, so how do we show the love of Christ to individuals of different faiths? Join Jerry Parker as he leads us in a study of false religions and how to reach out to followers of false religions.

  • Ephesians

    Led by Carolyn Falanga

Although Ephesians is one of the New Testament’s shortest books in terms of word count—only 6 chapters and 155 verses—it is perhaps the most applicable to today’s culture. In addition to the divine beauty and power of Ephesians, this epistle also provides Paul’s most direct address about the life of a disciple of Jesus. Paul conveyed his pastoral heart for the Ephesian believers by focusing on who they were in Christ. Specifically he addressed issues related to their new life, the community of believers, the pursuits of unity and holiness, and life’s challenges. Therefore, the Book of Ephesians and this study offer practical answers to contemporary believers’ basic questions about the Christian life and our identity in Christ.

  • Women in the Word - Women Only

    Led by Michelle Reid

The “Women in the Word” reading plan works in correlation with the She Reads Truth app and goal of being “Women in the Word of God every day.” Over the course of this study, we will set about the joyful task of finding Jesus in the stories of 44 women in the Old and New Testaments. And by reading about the women in the Word, we get to be women in the Word!— growing in relationship with the Author of all stories, including our own.

  • 9:23 Men - Men Only
