Good afternoon, dear friends.
As you have heard, the needs in Texas are great. Waters continue to rise in some locations, and many are displaced from their damaged homes.
Our current response includes the Geyer Springs shower/laundry unit and a 100KW generator. Both deployed today to be staged in Dallas and sent out as needed.
At this time, it appears we will have a large feeding deployment for an extended period of time beginning after Labor Day – exact dates and location are yet to be determined. Additional types of teams will be requested after Labor Day.
We expect to need 70 feeding volunteers a week.
All volunteers must be currently credentialed in feeding with a current Disaster Relief ID badge.
To meet this need we are offering 3 Emergency Feeding Trainings at the Arkansas Baptist State Convention Building in Little Rock (10 Remington Drive, Little Rock, AR 72204) from 9:00 am-2:00 pm. Registration at Disaster Relief Emergency Feeding Training
