What is Worship Like?

Sundays in the Sanctuary at 9:30 & 11AM

Each Sunday, we meet in the Sanctuary for two identical worship services—one at 9:30 AM and another at 11:00 AM. No matter which time you choose, you’ll experience the same welcoming atmosphere, meaningful worship, and Bible-centered teaching.

Our services are multigenerational, which means you’ll see people of all ages worshiping together as one family. We begin each service with music—songs that help us focus our hearts on God—followed by practical, gospel-centered teaching from the Bible. Each service lasts about an hour.

Whether you're brand new to church or have been following Jesus for years, you’ll find a place to be encouraged, challenged, and connect with others.

Where do I go?

There are entrances located all around the church. From every direction you enter our parking lot, you will see signs pointing you to the main entrance. You'll know you're in the right spot when you see red welcome flags. Here you'll find a welcome desk and greeters who can point you in the right direction.

If it's your first time visiting with us, we have a welcome bag with your name on it. Be sure to fill out a Connect Card while you're here so we can get to know you!

Parking

We have plenty of space for parking all the way around the building, and you can get where you need to go from any entrance.

We do have a few designated parking areas that you may find useful. Just outside the Kid Entrance are designated spaces for expectant mothers and families with young children, designated guest parking spaces are just outside the Main Entrance, and senior adults can find designated parking in the northeast lot for easy access to the Sanctuary.

Do you have kids with you?

Awesome! We're so glad you and your family are going to worship with us. Classes for kids from birth to 6th grade are at 9:30am. We also offer childcare for infants through preK during the 11:00am service. Follow signs for the Kids' Entrance and greeters will be happy to direct you to the check-in desk. If it's your first time visiting us, we ask that you arrive early to allow a little extra time to get checked in.

We are glad to be able to offer parents and kids a safe place to have fun and build a firm foundation on which their faith can grow. All of our volunteers are screened and trained in security and safety. You can also find a Sensory Station near the Sanctuary full of helps for kids who may have a few extra wiggles on Sunday mornings. You can learn more about all of these things and our heart for this generation on our Kids' Page.

Frequently Asked Questions

. Yes! We offer Sunday School classes for kids from birth to 6th grade during our 9:30am worship service, and childcare for birth to 4 years old during our 11:00am worship service. We encourage families to worship together in the Sanctuary with kids from K-6th grade during the 11:00 am service. If your kiddo needs help keeping their hands busy, check out the Sensory Station! You'll find a wall full of fidget items and resources that your family is welcome to use in the hallway between the Sanctuary and the Kids Hallway.

Is there childcare?

. You’ll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and suits at Walnut Street—and that’s just how we like it! Some people come in their Sunday best, while others dress more casually. We care more about you being here than what you’re wearing, so come in whatever makes you feel comfortable. You’ll fit right in either way!

What should I wear?

. You can find a variety of mid-morning goodies (caffeinated and not) in The Crossing! Head to the Gym and you can't miss it. We serve Shadrach's coffee, as well as classic black drip coffee and a couple of cappuccino options. If coffee isn't your thing, you'll find hot cocoa, juices, Belvita bars, fruit, and more. Whatever you do, don't miss out on one of Mrs. Ginger's (probably) world-famous scones. So grab a snack and feel free to have a seat and chat until service begins.

Where can I get caffeinated?

. Your very first step to getting connected is to grab and fill out a Connect Card! You can find these in the back of every pew as well as throughout the building. Turn it in to a member of our staff or our Guest Services team and we'll help you take your next step.

Plan your Visit!

We are so glad you've decided to check us out on a Sunday morning. At the bottom of this screen you should see a button that says "Plan Your Visit." If you fill out the short info card that pops up a member of our staff will be in touch before your visit. We'd love to meet you and your family at the door and make sure you find where you need to go. We can't wait to meet you!

Join us for the Next Steps Class

On the second Sunday of every month, we have the Next Steps class in Room 126 from 9:30am. Any greeter should be able to point you in the right direction if you aren't sure where to go. Here, we'll discuss a more in-depth look at what we believe at Walnut Street and why. We'd love to see you there and answer any questions you may have.
